Five years ago Richard Harrison set up a violin loan scheme within the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation, with the help of violist and trustee Louise Williams. Richard and his wife Barbara Frank-Harrison have built up a collection of mostly old Italian, French, Dutch and German instruments, acquired from and maintained by J & A Beare. There are now 53 violins, 1 viola and 5 violin bows, and more than 60 young professional musicians living and working in the UK have been able to borrow a suitable instrument for the next steps in their professional career. We would like to celebrate 5 years of the work of this wonderful charity. Please join us!
